Drag bit are suitable in soft to middle hard formation, are manufactured as one piece, from forged steel, with sintered tungsten carbide inserts on the cutting edges.
Drag bits are extremely popular choice for seismic drilling, blast hole drilling and geothermal drilling applications.

Chevron Type Bit
Theyare designed for medium to hard formations, more durable than the step, because of cutting structure, will penetrate more slowly
